Privacy, plainly.

The short version

ShopYourSeason is a color-shopping companion. To run it, I need to know two things about you: how to reach you, and which colors are yours. That's it. I don't sell your data, I don't build advertising profiles, and I don't keep your photos.

What I collect

Your email address, when you join the early-access list or sign up for the product. I use it to send you product updates and, eventually, your shopping picks.
Your color palette, once you're set up. Either the season you select or the swatches you enter. This lets me tell you whether what you're looking at is in your colors.
Basic site analytics like page views and anonymous traffic source. Aggregate only, never tied to your email.

What I don't keep

Your photos. If you ever upload a photo of your palette, or later a fit photo, I extract the color data and discard the image in memory. Nothing is written to disk. No backups, no "I'll delete it eventually." This is enforced in code, not in policy.
Your browsing history. The browser extension reads color values from product pages you're already looking at. It doesn't log which sites you visit or send your browsing back to me.
Anything I'd sell. I don't share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

How SYS makes money

SYS is a paid subscription, and that's the main way it earns. There's also an affiliate piece: when you click through to a retailer from a SYS pick and buy something, the retailer pays a small commission. Neither one changes what you see. Product rankings are based only on how well a piece matches your palette, never on how much I'd earn. Per the FTC's endorsement guidelines, consider this my disclosure that SYS participates in affiliate programs.

Third parties I rely on

Resend handles the email list and product email delivery.
Vercel hosts this site and the application servers.
Retailer affiliate networks, like CJ Affiliate, track that a purchase came from a SYS link so the retailer can pay the commission.

Each of these has its own privacy practices. I choose vendors who don't sell user data.

Your data, your call

Want your email off the list, or your account deleted entirely? Reach me at feedback@shopyourseason.ai and I'll handle it within seven days. If you're in the EU/UK or California, the rights granted by GDPR and CCPA apply to you in full. You don't need to invoke them — the answer to "please remove my data" is always yes.

Changes

If I materially change what I collect or how I use it, I'll email everyone on the list before the change takes effect.
